ABSTRACT: Developing vocational education curricula for careers in environmental engineering is essential for addressing the growing demand for sustainable development. This study aimed to: (1) evaluate the current state of vocational education programs focused on environmental engineering, (2) assess the alignment of these programs with industry requirements, and (3) propose enhancements to better prepare students for careers in environmental engineering. A survey research design was chosen to collect data from curriculum developers, educators, and industry experts. The sample size included 140 respondents selected via purposive sampling from Edo State. The case study focused on a technical college renowned for its engineering programs. Findings indicated that while foundational environmental engineering concepts were covered, there was a lack of advanced training and practical applications. Recommendations highlighted the importance of integrating cutting-edge technologies, fostering industry partnerships for internships, and ensuring continuous curriculum updates to reflect industry advancements.
